Monterey Jack

A semisoft cheese with a mild flavour, Monterey Jack is a nice alternative to cheddar. The texture is creamy yet firm, and while it’s mild in flavour, there’s a bit of tang. Black Diamond Monterey Jack goes great with spicy food, especially Spanish and Mexican meals, and is excellent for melting. Available in: 400g, 820g

Cheese Triumphs in Room Temperature

Serve ripened cheeses at room temperature because cold can mask their flavours. To temper cheese, remove it from the refrigerator 30-60 minutes before serving, depending on the hardness of the cheese. Leave the cheese in a fresh, well-ventilated area and cover with a damp towel or plastic wrap to prevent drying.
